The above picture of downtown Woodsfield, Ohio that appeared on a post card shows how the town looked in the mid-1930s. The Monroe County Courthouse looms in the center of the photo. The large building on the right of the Courthouse was called the Bank Building. The buildings to the left of the Courthouse contained a series of stores and look much the same today.
