This is a picture of the Charles and Amanda Mabel
Whitacre Gray family. Charles and Amanda
are readily identifiable but we can only guess at the identity of the four
children. Charles and Amanda had a
total of 9 children. They were married
November 1, 1899 and had a son Ivan A. Gray on September 7, 1901. Ivan may have been the first child and if
so, is likely to be the boy on the left.
The next two children were girls so the tallest girl was likely Goldie
Beryl Gray born November 8, 1902 and the smaller girl was likely Tyressa
(Tressy) Mildred Gray born July 25, 1904.
The next known child was Elvers Wade Gray born September 19, 1906 and is
likely the child being held by Amanda.
If we have guessed about right, this photo would have been taken about
1908.
