Edythe Dixon nee Gulicke

Edythe Moffet Gulicke was born at Monett, Mo., March 21,
1896. Father, James H. Gulicke, retired
merchant of Monett. Mother, Lily
Caroline Moffett, whose father, Elliot Raynes Moffett, was a '49-er, founder of
Joplin, Mo., and appointed by the Governor of Missouri as the first mayor
thereof. He sunk the first shaft in
Joplin, built the first railroad into the city, and founded the Pitcher White
Lead Works.
Edythe Gulicke is a graduate of Monett High School.
