The Schaub family has an annual family picnic around the July 4th holiday. In 2016 it was held at the beautiful horse farm of my 2nd cousins, David and Bonnie Schaub, in Clinton, Ohio. Both Don and I enjoyed our visit, wished we had more time. Like us, David and Bonnie are blessed to own several items that belonged to the family of our great-grandparents, George and Lucy (Herlan) Schaub. We do have a lot in common.

This was the first time I had seen all my Schaub cousins and got to meet their beautiful families. Growing up, we saw each other fairly often at various family events. My dad, Vernon John Latta, was the best man for their father, Junior (Wesley) Schaub. They were cousins, but best friends too.

I would like to thank Bob's daughter, Stacy McMaster, for telling me about their picnic.
