One of the
charming and nearly forgotten customs of the one-room school was the
end-of-the-year Souvenir given by the teacher to the students. These souvenirs provided students with a
list of their classmates and the name and usually a picture of the
teacher. Some of these Souvenirs have
survived the years since they were published.
Betty Goudy Cronin has shared this Punkin Ridge School Class of 1897
