George Michael and Elizabeth Diehl Pfalzgraf Family burial places:


George Michael, Jr., (August 24, 1809-January 3, 1867) and Elizabeth (Diehl) Pfalzgraf (July 12, 1808-July 17, 1883) and grandparent George Michael Pfalzgraf, Sr., (December 2, 1781-July 5, 1852) were laid to rest at Middle Church Lutheran Cemetery.

Fourteen children were born to George Michael and Elizabeth (Diehl) Pfalzgraf and thirteen of those lived to adulthood:

Their first-born, Jacob Pfalzgraf (born in 1833-died February 4, 1873), was married to Caroline Bintz (born-1837) daughter to George J. and Mary Anne Bintz, and was laid to rest in the Middle Church Lutheran Cemetery on County
Road #18 in Summit Township s section #26 (T-6, R-G).

Rosina Pfalzgraf, the second born, (1835-1919) married Philip H. Christman (1827-1893) of Seneca Township, in 1854. Philip and Rosina are buried at Middle Church Cemetery. (Lena Kahrig Pettit completed a 201 page plus index book in 1970)

John Pfalzgraf, the third born, (February 11, 1837-May 10, 1919) was married on Wednesday, February 17, 1864, to Catherine Christman (1840-1920). John and Catherine were laid to rest in the Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery, on County Road #9-A, in Adam s Township s section #23 (T-3, R-4). (Lena Kahrig Pettit completed a 122 page plus index book in 1971)

Elizabeth Pfalzgraf, (September 27, 1838-1929), the fourth-born, became the wife of Gottlieb Eberle (April 21, 1832-January 25, 1894), a son to John, Sr. (died-July 31, 1873) and Anna Marie (Hare) Eberle (died March 7, 1879), and was buried in the Ashbury Chapel M. E. Cemetery, on Township Road #152, in the northwest quarter of Adam s Township s section #32 (T-4, R-4).

Magdalena (Lena) Pfalzgraf, the fifth born, (1839-1878) was married to Christoph Kindelberger and was laid to rest at Middle Church Lutheran Cemetery.

Fredericka Rachel, the sixth child born, (1841-1901) was married to Jacob Christman (1837-1912) and buried at Lewisville, Summit Township.

Mary Pfalzgraf, seventh born, (1842-1883) was married first to Philip Neibch and secondly to Lewis Neuhart and was buried in the Pioneer Methodist Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.

Sarah (Sally) eighth child (1844-1854) lived but ten years and was buried at Middle Church Lutheran cemetery.

Barbara (born September 29, 1845-died in 1928), the ninth child born to Michael and Elizabeth Pfalzgraf, married Jacob Rubel (1842-1882)Jacob laid to rest in Middle Church Cemetery, and later Barbara married, Greenberry Crawford (1861-1946). Barbara was laid to rest in the Calais Cemetery, Calais, Ohio. (Lena Kahrig Pettit completed a 79 page plus index book in 1977)

Lewis Pfalzgraf, the tenth child born (March 9, 1847-July 10, 1937) married Elizabeth Miller (1850-1930) on Tuesday, August 30, 1870, and was buried at Rockport Cemetery (moved to Big Tygart).

Eva Pfalzgraf, the eleventh child (September 9, 1848-December 23, 1942) became the wife of John Christman (1843-1896) December 22, 1868. (A cousin of Lena Kahrig Pettit completed a book in 1997, no index)

Louisa Pfalzgraf (January 26, 1850-October 18, 1932) twelfth child born, married Frederick Koehler (1854-1942) on January 26, 1887, and was laid to rest at Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.

Christina Pfalzgraf (1852-April 8, 1941) thirteenth child born, married Alexander Brownfield (1843-1917) a son to William (born 1811) and Elizabeth Brownfield (ca. 1819). Alexander and Christina were buried at Antioch, Perry
Township, Monroe County, Ohio.

George Pfalzgraf (September 20, 1856-January 15, 1944), the last born of the fourteen children to George Michael, Jr., and Elizabeth (Diehl) Pfalzgraf, married Sophia Kilburn (1859-1931). George and Sophia were laid to rest at Middle Church German Lutheran Cemetery. (Lena Kahrig Pettit completed a 78 page plus index book in 1970)
