The W. T. Pennington, Photographer and Art Gallery was established in Woodsfield about 1892. W. T. Pennington s gallery was located in the F. Diehl Building over the American Shoe Store. In 1906 W. T. Pennington, Photographer was the only such establishment in Woodsfield. A majority of the pictures in the book referenced below were taken by W. T. Pennington. Almost any collection of photos from around the Woodsfield and surrounding areas taken at the turn of the 20^th century will contain pictures taken by W. T. Pennington.
