MT. ETNA SCHOOL

Mt. Etna School was located at the intersection on Bear Step, Co. Rd 11, Dog Skin Rd. in Jackson Twp. near Locust Grove on the Esmyer farm.  The school closed in 1918.

Some of the teachers at Mt. Etna were Arthur Harmon, Flora Leibforth, Bertha Schar and Francis Jeffers.
