Note on Jane Mendenhall and Jacob Herlan

Jane Mendenhall married Jacob Herlan in Guernsey County but they were living in Seneca Township, Monroe County in the 1860 and 1870 census.  By the 1880 census they were still there but the only child still in the home was Betty Latta Kitchen s great grandmother Lucy.  Listed in the census beside Jacob and Jane Mendenhall Herlan was the residence of their son Peter Herlan.  Lucy married Georg Schaub.
