Clock Bell

For over a century the old clock in the Courthouse Dome has dutifully sounded the time. The bell that rings every hour is located on the floor below the Clock Works in the open area of the dome. An iron hammer can be seen resting against the bottom-left flange of the bell. The steel cable attached to the hammer is lifted and dropped by the Clock Works on the floor above causing the bell to ring the correct number of times to communicate the hour.
