From the time I was little my parents would take me swimming. This picture may have been at Dover Dam. On my birthdays during grade school years, Mom would take me to Myers Lake as a special treat or to Lake Cable or Lake O'Springs. By the time I became a teenager, Dad had built a boat and we spent most warm weekends water skiing--at Lake Milton, Berlin Reservoir, the Ohio River, Mohawk Lake, and in Florida when on vacation.

Both Mom and Dad enjoyed fishing too which is one reason they moved to Fort Myers Beach in 1967--a house on a canal, a boat in the backyard.
