This is two views of the German Methodist Church outside Lewisville, toward Monroefield, Ohio. The original territory that this church was to serve was initially begun under the name Malaga and Matamoras Mission in 1845 and was first served by Johann H. Koch. Koch started the construction of the first log church which was finished by Brother Frederich Schimmelpfennig. The log church was replaced by the frame church pictured above in 1889. At this writing, the fate of the church is unknown except that it no longer exists on the site. A cemetery remains.
