Thomas Mendenhall

Death certificate #21964 was issued in Guernsey County, Ohio. Thomas Mendenhall, widowed, was born in Ohio, to John Mendenhall and Sarah Scott from Pa. on Jan. 29, 1824. He lived 90 years, 2 months, 26 days. The informant was S. C. Van Kirk [his daughter Sarah] of Salesville, Ohio. Dr. W.A. White of Salesville testified that Thomas died in Salesville on Apr. 24, 1914, of a cerebral hemorrhage, duration 1 day. He was buried in the Green Oak Cemetery on 4-27-1914. This is what appears on the COPY. On a separate page with the word PASTE scrawled across the corner in one inch letters is this:

Occupation - lived retired for several years. He worked as a Carpenter, Lumber dealer, Farmer in his active life.

The original one was marked RETURNED since the occupation section was missing. Also on the original it had his mother as Mary Scott, but on the COPY Mary was crossed out and changed to Sarah.
