Blacksmith Shop in the Village of Dairy, Monroe County, Ohio

The blacksmith shop is the small building at the left edge of the photo.  It was one of two blacksmith shops that were located in Dairy. This one was located in the center of Dairy and run by Daetwyler s. The second was located about a quarter mile away outside of town and run by Sam Grossenbacher. The farm in the background was then owned by Orin Bayes.  Before that Orin s parents and grandparents lived there.
