First meeting of Clarissa
Henthorn and Robert Kocher
Clarissa Henthorn
and her family were on their way to church on a Sunday morning traveling, of
course, by horse and buggy. Her father stopped the buggy when he noticed
a horse standing on the side of the road, a man was in the ditch with one foot
still in the stirrup. He was drunk. That was my great-grandfather,
Robert Kocher. The family helped him back on
his saddle and that was Clarissa and Robert s first meeting.
