Alfred Francis Burkhart born February 4, 1907 in Monroe County, the son of Simon Burkhart and Thresa Burkhart, married April 25, 1932, in Woodsfield, to Clara Pearl Huntsman. Alfred was employed as a section hand on the B&O Railroad for several years. Prior to his passing on November 29, 1989, they had lived in the Belmont area since the 1940 s. He is buried in the Belmont Cemetery beside his wife, Pearl.
