Granville Baptist Home

Although all the children of John Tilden and Mary (Udell) Latta were born in Burma, much of their life was spent  at the  Baptist Missionaries' Children Home in Granville, Ohio.  John and Mary first went to Burma in 1905.  They served seven years then returned to Ohio for a sabbatical leave, then returned to Burma, continuing this pattern until 1940. Lois (Miriam Lois Latta) wrote that she was about 8 and her oldest sister, Little Mary, around 12 when they moved into the children's home.
