Dalton,
Kenneth Sheldon Dalton

[Missoula, Montana] online; 19 Jul 2019
Kenneth Sheldon Dalton, 65, passed away
July 5th, 2019. He was surrounded by his family and friends who cared so much
for him.
Ken was born January 3rd, 1954 in
Brigham City, Utah to Jack and Beverly Dalton. Ken's family relocated to Big
Fork, MT. He attended Big Fork High School and went on to work in the family
brick laying business as a mason.
In 1987 Ken was in a serious motorcycle
accident where he suffered a traumatic brain injury that left him permanently
disabled, he required assistance with everything in his life after the accident
and he received this help through Opportunity Resources in Missoula for nearly
30 years. Although he faced daily challenges he found new interests. He
discovered that he had a real artistic side, which he expressed through
beautiful paintings and unique pottery. Ken also had a passion for recycling
cans. With his big strong hand, he could crush a can completely flat in his
palm.
Ken met Christine Olson and they
married on July 8th, 2005. Ken adored Chris, the 13
years he spent with her were the happiest of his life he'd say. Ken would have
lassoed the moon to hang it for her. The love they shared was undeniable. Thank
you to Cheryl and Scott Porter, Jim and Jan Olson and the rest of Chris's
family for accepting Ken and loving him as family.
Ken's larger than life personality was
always sure to make someone smile. He had an impeccable sense of humor and
found that a good joke or laughter helped when facing the challenges of his
daily life. He humbly accepted these challenges with dignity and pride. Ken was
just grateful to still have a life to live.
Ken was involved in many different
hobbies and activities, but he found his comfort was in the home he shared with
Chris at Riverside, where he enjoyed watching tv with Chris by his side. There are so many memories
of him to be cherished. The caregivers at Riverside were so devoted to
providing the best care possible for Ken's ever changing needs. He always gave
a genuine thank you to whomever was helping him, he
always showed appreciation for the things his caregivers would do for him that
he couldn't do himself. Thank you to everyone that worked with Ken over the
years at Riverside, Opportunity Resources and in the medical field, your
efforts made a positive difference in Ken's life.
Ken was preceded in death by his
parents Jack and Beverly Dalton. He is survived by his loving wife Chris,
sisters Chris Dalton and Mary Danford and extended
family.
Donations in Ken's memory can be dropped
off or mailed to Opportunity Resources Art Department. 2821 S.
Russell St. in Missoula. 59801, these donations will help others that
Ken may have inspired to find their inner artist.
Even with a disability a person still
has many abilities.
There will be a Celebration of Life on
Friday, August 2nd, 2019 at 4 pm at Opportunity Resources.
Ken will be greatly missed and
remembered by those who cared so much for him, these memories will forever live

Delven Devore passed away
peacefully on April 7, 2019, at Westwood Place at 99 years of age. He was born at
the beginning of the Roaring 1920s in a log house at the end of a county road
between SR 26 and the Little Muskingum River. That house is now the last house
on the road and is still standing. Dr. R. H. Latta
rode a horse to the house for the delivery, and also delivered another baby,
Ethel Foraker Sloan the same day. He was the only child of Forrest Devore and
Rosa Devore and lived there until a new house was built on SR 26 and the family
moved in 1926.
He attended a two-room elementary school in Graysville and
four years in the new high school built nearby. He played basketball and
baseball setting several records in basketball. At 6 feet, he was a formidable
basketball player and was famous for his one-handed set shot. Delven scored 50 points in one game on the floor of the
Woods-field High School gymnasium, a floor record that was never eclipsed.
During his senior year, he helped his team win the County Basketball Tournament
by winning 26 games in a row. He also met his future wife Ethel Poulton who came from just down Route 26 in high school. He
next attended Ohio University graduating with a BS in Ed. The year before
graduation he married Ethel, and they were married 67 years until her passing.
Ethel was the daughter of Fred and Pearl Poulton, and
her parents were co-owners of the general store which served the area. The Poultons had purchased the general store from the Bode
brothers in 1918, and with Fred’s brother lived in adjoining twin houses.
Delven and Ethel became the proud
parents of three sons, David and Richard who are living in northern Ohio, and a
third son living near Washington. One grandson lives in southern California and
one granddaughter in South Carolina. Delven taught
one year at Hannibal H.S., and one year at Woodsfield H.S. coaching and

background in science landed him in the hospital corps. After his discharge he
spent a year in the oil production field with his uncle. He was asked to be
principal of Clarington H.S. where he served four years. He completed his MEd

Robert "Bob" Donham-Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, and Man you
could always rely on, passed away on Saturday, May 18th, at University Hospital
Portage, with his family by his side. He was 61.
Bob was born in Ravenna, Ohio on May
30th, 1957, to Bill Donham and Bessie (Ables) Stier, and raised by his
Dad Tom Stier, and Mother Bessie. Bob learned early
in life that the most important things to him were family and a job well done.
"if you're gonna do
something, do it right." he would often say, and anyone that spent any
time with him knew he didn't expect anything from anyone except for you to
"Work hard, and take care of your family". He found his love of work
in the construction trades, doing concrete, carpentry, plumbing, electric, and
spending more than 30 years at Burnett Pools where he was the inground pool construction Forman. He found his love of
family in his wife, Connie (Spaur) Donham, who he married in 1982 and raised 4 children,
Monica Donham, Robert Donham
II, Angela Donham, and Christina Metcalf, as well as
raising dozens of other nieces, nephews, and anyone else that needed a hand and
place to stay. Bob took pride in everything he did, and was an avid hunter,
trapper, fisherman, and builder. He loved teaching his kids and grandkids how
to do things, and always loved to help them out. If you were changing the
brakes on your car, fixing a leaking faucet, building a shed, or just needed
help starting the mower or opening a can of tomato sauce, Bob was always happy
to be there. Bob's favorite pastime was picking on and messing with his
grandkids and giving them candy their parents said they couldn't have. Bob will
be remembered as a humble and caring man who believed in dignity, and working
hard, and had a real impact on everyone who crossed his path. He cared for
people, no matter their relationship to him, status in life, or current
struggles, and was always a steady rock in a changing world who
would listen and try to help others. When he asked you how you were doing, he
meant it, and wouldn't let you off the hook with a simple "I'm good", he followed up until you were telling all about yourself,
the good the bad and journey in between. His smirk, quiet laugh, and shaking
his head side to side were always comforting, and if Bob was really close with
you, you might be the subject of one of his witty jesting insults when you did
something dumb, that was somehow equal parts educational, hilarious, and
heartwarming.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Donham; daughters, Monica Donham
and Angela Donham all of Windham Ohio, Christina
Metcalf of Bedford Heights Ohio, son, Rob and wife, Deann
Donham II, of Mooresville, North Carolina;
grandchildren, Ezra Donham, Kaylee Clark, Kamrin Clark, Kohl Clark, all of Windham Ohio, Robert Donham III, Elijah Donham, and
Emmalee Donham all of Mooresville, North Carolina,
Ezekiel Metcalf, Ezias Metcalf of Bedford Heights,
Ohio, dad, Tom Stier; brothers, David and his wife,
Kathy Stier, and John Stier
all of Fayetteville, Ohio, Mike Stier of Cincinnati
Ohio and sister, Janet Donham of Streetsboro, Ohio.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie (Ables)
Stier, father, Bill Donham,
brother, Ernie Donham, sister, Patricia Donham and grandson, Ezavier
Metcalf.
Family has already held a private
gathering in memory of Bob, because Bob said he "didn't want a bunch
weirdos staring at him and acting like idiots". A celebration of Bob's
life at his place of residence will be held for family and friends, on Sunday,
May 26th. Flowers and condolences may be sent to 9052 Store Drive, Windham Ohio
44288. Visitation Sunday, May 26th, 2019
