Leavenworth St.
"It
was always full service; it's still full service," daughter Sue Ann
Goodman of Omaha said. "He always said he would never have self-service
because his customers deserved to have the full service. They checked the oil,
cleaned your windshield and checked the air pressure on your tires. There were
mechanics on staff. He had lots of accounts with local businesses."
Wackerhagen died of Alzheimer's disease
Sunday at Josie Harper Hospice House. He was 77.

Wackerhagen started his business in
1961. When he retired in 1999, sons Robert and Ronald, who had worked there for

because he was very personable," his daughter said.
He was active in Downtown Omaha Inc.,
organized cleanup campaigns in downtown for about 10 years and once ran for
City Council.
Keep
Omaha Beautiful recognized Wackerhagen in 1999 for organizing the annual
cleanups in downtown Omaha with volunteers from Downtown Omaha Inc. and Central
High School. He would make the cleanups pleasant, encourage families to involve
their children and provide volunteers with refreshments and rides on Ollie the
Trolley.

Wilson,
Helen Theo Wilson, nee Maas
Source: The Billings [Montana] Gazette - January 2,
2010
Helen Theo (Maas) Wilson, 98, passed

A graveside service will be held in Harlem
at the Harlem Cemetery , at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6. A memorial service will

Helen Maas was born on Oct. 19, 1911,
in Pretty Rock, N.D., to Henry and Julia (Fink) Maas. Helen was one of 17
children.
When her family moved to Montana, Helen
met Gerald Wilson in Harlem and they were wed in Blaine County on Dec. 7, 1935.
Gerald built a family home in Harlem and they lived there for almost all of the
next 61 years, interrupted only briefly by residence in Turner, Mont., and
Tacoma, Wash.

Helen had many talents, but the
greatest was her sense of humor. She had a knack for bringing a smile to the
face of anyone who crossed her path, regardless of circumstances, age or
condition. Few were able to resist this challenge for long. Her friendships
were beyond counting and her love of people was unlimited. Her home was filled
with music, conversation, laughter, and always with love. She spent her life in
service to others, whether family, friends or strangers in need. No task was
too great or time-consuming, as long as it brought comfort, pleasure or hope to
someone else. Age neither changed her attitude nor altered her boundless
enthusiasm. Even to the end, she was still making friends and bringing joy to
others. The world will be a poorer place without her.
