Cronin,
Robert M. Cronin
Robert
M. Cronin, 87, of Wheeling West
Virginia died December 25, 2008 in Ohio Valley
Medical Center,
Wheeling. He was born June 25, 1921, in Wheeling,
a son of the late Clifford and Mary Luetta Drum
Cronin. He graduated from Warwood
High School in 1939; attended Harding College
in Searcy, Arkansas; and was in the US Army during
World War II. Previously employed at Industrial Rubber Products in Wheeling, he was president
of Wheeling Rubber Products, Inc., until his death, having worked there since
its establishment in 1948. Mr. Cronin has served as an elder at the National
Road Church of Christ since 1962. He had been a member of the Kiwanis Club in Wheeling, and he was on
the Board of Trustees of Ohio Valley University for 44 years and served as
Chairman of that board.
In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford
Cronin, Jr.
He
is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Alberta "Abbo" Ellis Cronin; his children, Mary Gardner and her
husband, Paul, our Searcy, Era Cox and her husband, Dennis, Vienna, West
Virginia, and Patrick Cronin and his wife, Rebecca of Wheeling; a brother John
Ronan and his wife Betty Lou, of Wheeling and Pinellas Park, Florida; grand
children, Michael Cox and his wife Nellie, of Vienna, Jay Gardner and his wife,
Lori, of Cabot, Arkansas, Sean Cronin and his wife, Trisha, Vienna, and Molly
Cronin Cincinnati, Ohio; and great grandchildren, Jacob and Madeleine Cox of
Vienna.
Friends
will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM on a Sunday, December 28, 2008, at
the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Elm
Grove, Wheeling.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 29, 2008, at the Church of Christ, 1310 National Road, Wheeling,
West Virginia, with Mr. Ron Stulenbarger and John Massey officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery,
Wheeling. In
lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Valley
University, One Campus View Dr., Vienna, W.V. 26105. Personal condolences
may be offered to the family at www.kepnerfuneral.com.

Isaly,
Donald Don N., age 74, of German
Ridge Road, Powhatan Point, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Wheeling Medical
Park, Wheeling, WV.
He was born April 11, 1933
in Powhatan Point, the son of the late Newell and Kathryn (Abbrigg)
Isaly.
He
was a retired cast house employee at Conalco in Hannibal, a retired Switzerland Township Trustee after
nearly 30 years of service, a member of the Moriah
Lodge No. 105 F. & A.M., and a life member of VFW Post #9930 in Duffy, Ohio.
Don was also a member of St.
John s United Church of Christ and a U.S. Army veteran
of the Korean War.
In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step mother, Myrtle Jobb Isaly; and a sister, Beverly
Isaly.
Survivors
include his wife of 52 years, Janette Longwell Isaly; a son, Devin (Lisa) Isaly
of Powhatan Pt., a daughter, Donette (Jeff) Sickels of Worthington, Ohio; a sister, Carol (Jim) Ollom of
Powhatan Pt.; a stepbrother, Arthur Jobb of Elyria, Ohio; a
stepsister, Carol Sue Jobb of Westerville,
Ohio; and two grandchildren, Ayla Dawn Isaly and Cody Devin Isaly.
Family
will receive friends on Saturday from 3-5 and 7-9pm at Grisell
Funeral Home, 125 Clarinda Drive, Clarington, where Masonic Services will be
held at 7:30pm and funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30pm with Rev.
Carla Jean Wobschall officiating.
Interment
in St. John s United Church of Christ Cemetery where military graveside
services will be conducted by American Legion Post 760, Hannibal, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John s United Church
of Christ Cemetery Fund, 51736
German Ridge Road, Powhatan Point,
OH 43942.
