had begun his second term.
During the last illness and after the death of Judge A. C. McDougal, Judge
Kremer served as Acting Probate Judge for several months in addition to his own
work.
On November 28, 1905, Mr. Kremer was united in marriage with Miss Eloise Weisend at Woodsfield where they have lived ever since.
They reared a family of ten children all of whom are living. The parents lived
to realize the glory of age, that of seeing their children out in the world
making good.
They are Mrs. Byron (Ruth) Gillespie and Mrs. Burris (Eloise) Decker of
Woodsfield; Mrs. Robert (Hortense) Arther, of
Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Mrs. Robert (Margaret) King, of Washington, D. C.; Mrs.
John (Betty) Edmonds, of Alexandria, Virginia; Atty. T. J. Kremer, Jr. of
Woodsfield; Frederick, of Cuyahoga Falls; William of Skokie, Illinois; George
of Arlington, Virginia; and John with the navy in Japan.
As in most large families, they enjoyed many good times together. The death of
the husband and father is the first break in the family circle.
Judge Kremer was a charter member of the Woodsfield Kiwanis Club and a member
of the Monroe County Bar Association.
He was companionable and friendly in disposition, realistic in his legal and
judicial approaches to problems and sought to know the facts on which to base
actions and decisions.
Several years ago, he was actively engaged in the oil business as a producer
and operator both in West Virginia and

THREE MOUNDSVILLE RESIDENTS
KILLED IN WRECK
NEAR NATRIUM
Mrs. John Myers, Everett
West and Mrs. Jessie Markley, residents of Moundsville, met death in an automobile
crash on Route 2 near Natrium Sunday morning.
Mrs. Myers was killed almost instantly; Mr. West died at 9:30 Sunday night;
and Mrs. Markley passed away in the Wetzel county hospital on Monday. John Myers, husband of Mrs. Myers; Mildred
West, wife of the dead man, and Henry Markley and Donald Rine
were all taken to the Wetzel county hospital.
On the death of Mrs. Markley, the husband, Henry Markley, was removed to
the Glendale hospital.
It is reported that the
deaths followed a car-truck crash on the highway 18 miles south of Moundsville
near the Wetzel county line, and all seven persons were in the car driven by
Myers.
The crash was described
in this manner. Alvan
Corkram of Wheeling had skidded off the road in his
car which was going north. He telephoned
for aid and was being towed back to the highway by a heavy truck laden with
bricks, which was operated by Franklin S. Jochum of
Rd. 2, Wheeling. The truck was on the
east side of the highway and the driver had alighted, police said, when the car
driven by Myers appeared suddenly and crashed head on. Aid was summoned from New Martinsville and
Natrium and it was more than two hours before Myers was extricated from the
demolished car. Both Corkram
and Jochum hurriedly stepped aside and escaped
injury.
